INIB HONEY SHOW 2009

The top honey show exhibitors from this year assembled at Wallace High School on Saturday last for the final show of the season organized by the Institute of Northern Ireland Beekeepers’.
Despite the poor season a large entry was received, and during the judging the exhibitors were treated to two lectures by Professor Ratniks from Sussex University.
Top exhibitor was Elmer Kennedy from Randalstown, who won 4 classes, the Supreme Run Honey was won by James Crawford from Lisburn, while Best in Show was won by Michael Young from Hillsborough.
The Show finished with the presentation of Certificates to the INIB judges who were examined recently by Henry Thomas Ferguson, Senior Honey Judge from the Welsh Beekeeping Association. This will enable our local judges to be invited to judge in Wales and further afield.
