Saturday 30th June, Roe Valley Country Park, Limavady

We will be hosting a bee-inspired morning of events with the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) at Roe Valley Country Park. There will be two events running simultaneously:

(i) Bee Identification Workshop, 10 – 12 noon, for those interested in learning about our native bees, their identification and habitats, led by Aoibhinn Corrigan, NIEA. This will be in the form of a short talk followed by identification in the field. Please dress appropriately for outdoors including waterproofs and sturdy footwear. (ii) Beelicious Family Adventure 10 – 1 pm, the Roe Valley Country Park staff will take you on a bee wander around Roe Valley Country Park, using nets to catch whatever bee, butterflies and bugs you come across for a closer look. Afterwards returning to the centre to make your own bee home, to take home.

There will be two Beelicious sessions, running from 10-11.30 and 11.30-1 pm. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Buggy / pram friendly.
